ABOUT ARTITUDE
Since its official establishment in 2020, the ARTitude program has been quietly transforming communities across the Shire of Ravensthorpe. It all began with a simple pilot in 2018. What started as a modest initiative offering just Visual Arts and Dance has blossomed into a vibrant, multi-disciplinary program that is redefining access to the arts in regional Western Australia.
Fast forward to the 2024/2025 financial year, and the impact is undeniable: 517 sessions delivered, across five dynamic after-school programs in two towns. The numbers tell a story of growth, passion, and relentless community spirit—but the real magic lies in the creativity sparked and lives touched through this grassroots arts movement.
ARTitude now offers weekly classes in Dance, Piano, Individual Singing Lessons, Vocal group and Visual Arts, each carefully designed to inspire young minds and nurture local talent. This isn’t just about learning technique—it’s about building confidence, fostering expression, and creating a safe space where individuals of all ages can find their voice through the arts.
At the heart of ARTitude’s success are its 13 inspiring and dedicated local staff members. These educators and artists are more than just instructors—they are mentors, role models, and the driving force behind every brushstroke, note, and movement. Their commitment glues the program together, helping to create a strong cultural thread that ties the communities of Ravensthorpe and surrounds more closely together.
In rural and regional areas, access to high-quality arts education is often limited. ARTitude is not only filling that gap—it’s elevating the standard. It serves as a beacon of what can happen when community, creativity, and commitment come together in harmony.
The future is bright for ARTitude, and the Shire of Ravensthorpe is all the richer for it. Here's to more music, more movement, more imagination—and to the power of the arts to shape a more vibrant tomorrow.

"Singing lessons with ARTitude this last 2 years have been so incredible when Emilia went into kindy with a minor speech delay, going to these lessons has required her to really focus on her speech and her sounds which had helped her tremendously! Vocals classes help her really step out of her comfort zone and build so much confidence." - Mia Mclaren
"Both of my children have attended the ARTitude program since it began around four years ago. My son Jack is no longer able to participate as he now boards in Perth to study Musical Theatre through the Gifted and Talented program at JCCA. ARTitude played an integral role in helping him achieve that goal and successfully gain a place in the competitive program." - Lisa Coles
"Living in small country towns, opportunities for our kids to explore extracurricular activities, especially in the arts, can sometimes be limited. That’s why Artitude is such an incredible initiative. Our kids can choose to participate in dance, visual arts, piano and now singing. The teachers are all incredibly passionate and skilled instructors and provide a fun learning environment locally so that we don't have to travel far for our kids interests and talents to be nurtured. I am incredibly grateful for the Artitude program and wholeheartedly recommend it to others." - Hayley Wisewould
